I must admit I am not normally a non-fiction reader. I do read them, just not my genre choice when looking for a book. And biographies, well the last biography I read was Mikhail Baryshnikov's in junior high school. But I digress.
Isaac Newton is a well-written book that I found to flow easily. The life, times and experiments of Sir Isaac Newton are easy to read and follow and I must say that going into this book I only knew about his discovery of gravity, but he made many discoveries throughout his time in scholarship. I found Sir Isaac Newton's life to be interesting if isolated and tragic, but that was his life. Born to a widow, his father died 6 months before he was born, and not fitting in with his classmates, and even going to Trinity College in Cambridge where he completed his studies alone, mostly in isolation. We see how dedicated he was to his path of scientific discovery at the expense of personal relationships.
Though this is a series about famous people's Christian lives, this book does focus on the scientific life of Sir Isaac Newton. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book for anyone. I really enjoyed learning about Sir Isaac's life.
